Kathy Fry

Kathy has more than 20 years of experience as a solo pianist, vocalist, guitarist and band member. She also performs throughout the year with her jazz trio.

Besides participating in classical music competitions and musicals, she pursued her interest in jazz studying jazz piano with renowned  pianist, Pat Pace, and composition with Mr. Phil Rizzo of The Modern Music School in Cleveland, Ohio. Kathy's intention was to play music to pay her way through university and medical school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. However, she reconsidered and decided to become a full-time musician. She later graduated with honors from the University of Maryland with a BS in Psychology.

Kathy loves the notion of music as the universal language and enjoys exploring the music and styles of other cultures. Her diverse repertoire includes pop, jazz, Broadway, country and everything in between.  She loves to interact with the audience and is always ready for the challenge of audience requests.

Kathy has performed time and again at many of the world's finest piano bars and is truly one of the favorites on that circuit. Her engagements have taken her throughout the USA, Europe, and Asia and to Bermuda and Caribbean island resorts. Since 1987, she has performed as a piano entertainer predominantly in Europe playing in 5-star hotels such as The Montreux Palace in Switzerland, the Grand Hotel Esplanade in Berlin and the Sheraton Hotel in Stockholm. She is currently the resident pianist at the 4-diamond Grand Geneva Resort and Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
